Visibility, Voice, and Vibrancy.
This page highlights initiatives I’ve led or contributed to through Club Spectrum, the Pride Program at San Diego Miramar College, and the LGBTQX Alliance. From founding inclusive student spaces to elevating queer visibility through events, digital and print media, and advocacy campaigns, each project represents a commitment to fostering belonging, celebration, and systemic change.
As the 2021–2022 Student Trustee for the San Diego Community College District, I successfully advocated for the District to fly the Pride flag—a visible commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion across all campuses. The following year, I collaborated with the LGBTQX Alliance, Student Affairs Office, and the newly established Pride Program to develop and institutionalize Miramar College’s first-ever Pride Flag Raising Ceremony.
Highlight: This section features the marketing collateral I created for the second annual ceremony, including event program, slide deck, A-frame poster, and more. A recap video shared across official campus channels helped extend the message of visibility and affirmation to a wider audience.

To advocate for a dedicated LGBTQ+ student space on campus, I designed a full visual pitch deck featuring 3D renderings and dynamic mockups. The proposal illustrated how a Pride Center could support belonging, wellness, and academic success through affirming, accessible design.
Highlight: Each feature was contextualized with images of students actively engaging in imagined use of the space—bringing a vision to life for campus stakeholders.
To honor LGBTQ+ students at Miramar College, I led production of a heartfelt tribute video featuring words of encouragement from alumni and campus allies. This project supported a larger community-led effort to celebrate queer excellence and affirm students at every stage of their academic journey.

In response to the need for centralized, student-focused LGBTQ+ resources at the community college level, I designed and managed a comprehensive website for Club Spectrum. The platform features club information, event updates, and a robust resource library—including guides on academic support, mental health, transfer navigation, LGBTQ+ terminology, and historical figures.
More than a digital hub, the website became a community-building tool that affirmed queer and trans students by centering visibility, knowledge, and access. It streamlined onboarding for new members, supported faculty and staff referrals, and provided a lasting digital home for student-led Pride programming.

This project reflects my ability to translate values into accessible design and build practical infrastructure for equity-centered student support.
